My parents took a picture of me when I was about two years old in a similar field of flowers. It was taken on the way out to California, I think. This picture was taken on Saturday at a near by park where we went for a morning hike and family picnic. Neither picture turned out as good as I had hoped--once I found the angle that worked best with the sun, I couldn't get Ayden to look at me. He's so over the camera now! Still, I thought the fact that they reminded me of by-gone pictures of myself merited I keep them.
I love the second picture here because their skin tones are so totally different. Ayden's dark eyes and olive skin tone is so beautiful and Carson's pink cheeks and light hair are so fresh and sweet.
On one of their Daddy Days, Jimmy and Ayden bought a pooh kite. It has been very windy here, so Ayden is actually a pretty good kite flyer! As a kid, I never really liked kites--all I remember is running, running and running just to get the thing in the air. I guess the wind is the key, because Ayden loves it!
While Jimmy was mowing the grass and I was cleaning out the garage, Ayden's job was to wash his swing set/play house. Of course he thought it would be more fun to turn the bucket into his own personal, outdoor bathtub! We didn't care...it kept him busy for almost an hour! He's such a squirt--I can't believe his little butt fit down in that thing!
