Camera Chrissy is BACK!

I don't know if anyone has noticed, (ha-ha...I've heard the complaints loud and clear) but the blogger posts have recently been few and far between. Anything that's been posted since Feb was posted by Jimmy, not Christen. Two reasons: First: Blogger changed their set-up and Christen couldn't ever re-learn how to use it easily. Second: Christen no longer had access to the mac-daddy yearbook camera she'd gotten used to. Well, a new era has dawned! Thanks to "Papa" (which Ayden can now say) Christen got a great camera for her birthday! But the gift came with strings--pictures must be posted no less than every two weeks. Here's the first installment. Pictures of Ayden during snack time...enjoy everyone...and check back in soon for more!

Snake Wrangling

While Jimmy was attending the NACE Leadership Institute, Ayden took a snake wrangling class. Actually the snakes are from the Cox family in KY! Ayden thought it would be fashionable to "wear" these around his neck while he played in the room.

Clowning around

During the conference breaks, Jimmy would come visit us in the hotel room. On one visit he brought back some "props". He and Ayden had a lot of fun with the big clown nose.

Let's Eat!!!

One of the best parts of being on vacation is that we don't have to cook! A fun thing about being in San Antonio is that we got to try a lot of fun Tex-Mex. These are pictures from two Mexican restaraunts. The one where Ayden is on the burro is our favorite!

Remember the Alamo!

The Alamo was on our weekend "must see" list. Ayden is not quite 16 months here. Therefore, he is likely to forget about the experience at the Alamo. Jimmy on the other will surely remember the experience because he spent half an afternoon here and read everything on the history of the building! Needless to say, Christen and Ayden were stir crazy by the end of the day!

WOW! Things really are bigger in Texas

We just got back from a trip to San Antonio, TX. Jimmy had some business there on Friday 7/6 and a conference the following week. Because of the length of the trip, we decided to join him and make it like a family vacation. These boots are supposedly the largest in the world and are just outside the airport.

Swimming fun at Williamsburg

Dad and Nick have decided to sell Williamsburg so this might be some of our last pics here. We decided that Nicholas was about the same age as Ayden js here when we moved to this house. Guess Jimmy and I will have to start thinking about getting a pool ourselves. :)

Hanging Out with Old Friends

Since we had a built in baby sitter back home (AKA Papa Carson), we had a chance to catch up with old friends.

Father's Day Shopping Fun

We spent some time back home to see Papa Carson for Father's Day. During our shopping experience, Ayden had to give some of the lawn mowers a spin.

Ayden has tipped the scales at 20lbs. However, with the crazy weather we are having, there is still the threat he might blow away with the slighest breeze.

Another one of our favorite past times is enjoying the dog run near our house. Ayden loves Jackson and says "sha sha" when he sees any four legged animal. In addition to Jackson, Ayden can also say banana, shoe, and da-da (of course).

This past weekend we spent some "family time" at the local park. Ayden is definitely an outdoorsman and prefers to be outside most of the time.

Spring Break ... Well Sort Of

This year for spring break, we decided to stay in Athens and enjoy some down time at home. Actually, we worked our tails off the first part of the week doing yard work and some much needed spring cleaning. On Thursday, the 3 of us headed to Clarks Hill to enjoy our new camper.
Jimmy finally got his wish and purchased a camper this past spring. It's a perfect camper and will definitely be something that will grow as the Richardson family does. Speaking of which, for those of you who don't know, Christen is now 4 months pregnant. Yes, that's right, we are expecting our 2nd little one the first of October.

These are pictures from a neighborhood Easter egg hunt we hosted. As you can see Ayden has no shortage of playmates in the hood!

Ayden and Jimmy are happy to announce that the blog is back!!!! Due to some technical difficulties and a tired mom-to-be things were looking bleak. However, things are looking good now and you can expect some more pictures in the very near future.
